One day, while I was in bed with my girlfriend, the owner unlocked the door and walked in without telling me or asking permission. They also played ping-pong loudly outside my window every day. When I complained, they answered very rudely.

The staff were incredibly nice, and the WiFi was strong. The rooms were spotless and pleasant, with AC, a fridge, and toiletries. There’s laundry, coffee, and a small breakfast in the morning. In the afternoon you can borrow a bike to explore, and everything is close by. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Thailand.

Nakhon Kiri and Wat Khao Bandai It are close enough to walk to, and the location is good. The room was very clean, with a simple modern look in white and green, and they cleaned it regularly. Breakfast is basic, and soft drinks are available from the fridge. The staff were friendly and helpful, though only one or two spoke some English. They let me leave my things for a few hours after checkout, and there’s parking. The reception and shared area could be more comfortable and better arranged, with extra tables or sofas. There’s no bar, and “boutique” doesn’t really fit the hotel. Scooter rental would help, since dependable transport in Phetchaburi is very hard to find, especially at night.

The price was nice, and the accommodation was clean and good. It’s close to town, the staff are very helpful, and they can arrange a trip to the temple caves.
