Baan Baan Hostel

The dorm rooms have dividers that give you a decent amount of privacy, and the hostel is a cozy place to stay in Phitsanulok. The owner is very friendly, quick to respond, and keen to help. There’s a fan, so bringing mosquito repellent is a good idea. There’s just one bathroom stall in the building, with the shower and toilet shared by all guests.

The owner is kind and super friendly. He let me check in early, suggested an itinerary, and pointed me to a good place to rent quality bikes. We also had some really cool conversations, along with a few other guests. Highly recommend!

I was the first female guest at Baan Baan, which had only been open for three months. It’s a small hostel with a fridge and laundry facilities, near some cafes and restaurants and within walking distance of the Wats and Museums. The bed was comfortable, and I liked having my own bed with adequate privacy. He’s very informative about the surrounding area, and I appreciated how willing he was to help. These days, people are often left to Google things themselves, so that kind of customer service really stood out. There’s also a cute little cafe and garden a short walk away.

Such a lovely hostel, and our host was really nice!
