Taman Resort

It was a relaxing break from traveling, with helpful staff, a lovely pool and a beautiful property. The rooms are spacious too. Hot water was scarce, though we didn’t call the front desk about it. Bring food if you’re staying here. On Monday at 5:30 pm, there wasn’t much available in the neighborhood, so we had Grab deliver dinner. I’d stay again when traveling from Bus Station 2, about 8 km east of downtown Phitsanulok.

We stopped here on the drive from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, and it suited us well. It was quiet, with just us and two other couples, I think. The man in charge was very helpful, answered questions in person or on LINE, and even got my husband a little birthday cake. The room was large, and there was grass around the hotel for walking our 15 kg dog. They let us bring him for an extra fee. The water wasn’t very hot, and some parts of the hotel seemed out of order. We only stayed one night and didn’t use the pool, though it looked clean and inviting. It’s less than a 10-minute drive into town.

The staff were friendly and let us order delivery from outside when the hotel restaurant wasn’t available. They were happy to bring plates, too. There are plenty of plants and paths for walking dogs on a leash, and the room was big enough for two. Still, a bug got in, maybe through a gap by the balcony door. The curtain was quite moldy, and water leaked from the bathing area through the toilet partition, leaving the bathroom wet. The pool didn’t seem hygienic. It smelled strongly of chlorine, but still had dust, leaves and some unidentified particles in it.

The room was spacious and had everything I needed. The surroundings were relaxing, and the staff were friendly. They also helped me get around and showed me some extraordinary sights near Phitsanulok. Taman Spa Resort is a nice place.
