We only tried the cafe, since we didn't stay overnight. It's the sort of place where you order a drink by the water, sit in the shade, and look up to find hours have passed. The staff are easygoing and warm, and they're happy to help. There's a lot to do too, with bikes for rent, massages, cooking classes, and water sports. And what's with all the animals? We even found ourselves checking near the bicycles for more hiding somewhere! Set along the canal in Bang Chak, this lush, lovely spot feels surprisingly removed from the city, though it's a short trip from central Bangkok. It has a slow, relaxed atmosphere, and it's a welcome break when the traffic and noise get to you. The waterfront views are beautiful. It was easy to imagine wanting to stay the night after a drink at the cafe.

We loved our stay. The two-level villas are beautiful, have everything you could think of, and the shower was especially nice. The staff and owners were lovely, and the food and drinks were the best around town. Breakfast by the river was a treat, and hotel guests can use the bikes for free. There are animals to see, too. The stairs to the bedroom are steep, so hold on as you climb. Maybe the management could add nonslip strips to make them easier for anyone who has trouble. I managed fine, but it might help others. Thanks especially to the hotel manager for helping me out and giving me rides during the bad weather. I'll be back in winter.

We had a lovely, relaxing few days in one of the lodges, just what we wanted to get away from the city. The staff were lovely. Thanks!

The owners were very welcoming, and the canal-side setting is lovely. Our bungalow had a great bathroom and jacuzzi bath, and bikes were available during our stay. Just be careful on the steep stairs up to the mezzanine bedroom. On our last day, we couldn't get a Grab back to the pier, so the owner offered to drive us, which was very kind. The one letdown was breakfast: the fried eggs, bacon, and sausage arrived cold and weren't edible. Everything else was great, and it would have been five stars if breakfast had been hot.

The cottages are detached, brand-new two-story tiny houses with a sitting room, a great bathroom, and an upstairs bedroom. There's a kayak for exploring the canal, and the whole stay felt romantic and unforgettable. The place is spotless, with atmosphere everywhere. The canal-side resort is a gorgeous little oasis tucked away from the city. Its cafe serves coffee and plenty of excellent Thai dishes in the evening, with lunch available on weekends. Breakfast and dinner are included in the cottage price.
