Really an amazing place!

I was happy here.

Breakfast was a treat, served with a breeze and views over the Chao Phraya River. There was fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, and a choice of Thai or American breakfast. The servings were generous and everything tasted good. There isn't a restaurant on-site, so we were driven about five minutes to a local Thai restaurant for dinner, or you could get food at the floating market or a nearby cafe. We spent one night in a tent and two in a room with a pool. Tent guests share just two showers with hot water, and it might feel a little chilly in the dry season. There were lots of mosquitoes in the evenings, so bring repellent. Staff kindly lit mosquito coils when we asked. Our room was spotless and had a lovely oriental feel. The bathroom is semi-open-air, with a nice breeze and a relaxing lukewarm soak. The pool water was a bit cloudy, probably because it was the dry season, but the kids didn't mind and had a great time. The grounds have a fighting fish gallery that's open on weekends, plus charming leaf-shaped paths through the wetlands and beside the river. They're nice for a leisurely walk, and you may spot giant water lizards. The place connects directly to a bicycle rental shop at Bang Krachao Port, across from Khlong Toei Port, through a card-key door. That makes access from Sukhumvit and cycling convenient. The owner and staff were all very friendly, and we had a wonderful stay. In cooler weather, it seems like a perfect place to spend the day fishing or reading.

The room was spacious, but it wasn't very clean. The air conditioning didn't cool properly, and the Wi-Fi wasn't working. There were no bikes available, even though the house was far away. There wasn't a kettle either, so I called to ask for one and was told to speak to the security guard myself.
