Clean, with good facilities and a good price.

I booked this place for its location near Phrae bus station, and it turned out to be great value for the price. The room was okay, and the air conditioning worked without any trouble. They provided a refrigerator, plates, spoons, glasses, bottled water, soap, and towels. The common area is shared with other guests. I arrived early and the owner kindly let me leave my luggage. After cleaning, the housekeeper called the owner so I could check in 2-3 hours early. I was very impressed. If you’re on a budget, I highly recommend it. The price is excellent.

The hostel is an easy walk from Phrae bus station and about 1.5 kilometers from the old town. It could be hard to find convenience stores or restaurants nearby, though a Grab Win can get you to different parts of the city. It suits backpackers and anyone after budget accommodation. This is a self-service place with private rooms and no permanent staff. On arrival, call the hostel number to get your key. Prices start at 400 baht, and the bathrooms are shared. The owner was kind and gave me a discount. They also let me leave my luggage and use the showers after checkout while sightseeing or waiting for my bus. I stayed downstairs, in a fairly spacious room with a large bed for two. There was free drinking water and instant coffee, and the air conditioning was comfortably cool. Downstairs rooms have no balconies, and the windows can’t be opened because the back of the building has been renovated into guest rooms. There are rooms on both floors.

Street noise aside, I had a good stay. The place has what you need and is well located, less than a 10-minute walk from the bus terminal.
