The Indigo House is easy to find and feels peaceful while still being accessible. There's plenty of parking in front, with more spaces behind the building, handy if you're traveling by car. The owner and staff are genuinely kind and helpful, going out of their way to make sure guests feel at home and have what they need. The welcoming feel starts with the warm wooden architecture and thoughtful decor. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, with indigo-patterned runners and pillows adding a local touch. The beds made for a restful night. The bathroom stood out: lovely blue-and-white patterned tiles make it bright and fresh. It's well maintained, with good water pressure and a reliable heater. The property brings together traditional Northern Thai style and a clean modern feel, with lovely indigo accents throughout, true to the name. For business or a holiday in Phrae, it offers great value, beautiful design, and top-tier service. Highly recommended for a comfortable, authentic stay.

It's a nice place, and the rooms are a good size with decent beds. It's clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff are friendly, so the basics are all there, but a few things need adjustment. Breakfast is nice but limited to one choice. There's a great coffee shop downstairs with real coffee, but that coffee isn't served at breakfast, and the shop doesn't open before 08:00 even when staff are around. The big issue is the speaker out front for public announcements. It starts up every day at 6:30. As I said, it's a nice place, but they should improve a few things.

Parking was good, and the stay was fine for the price. The room, bathroom, breakfast, and staff were all pretty average. It suited us because it was within walking distance of friends' house, and I’d stay again for that same reason. For visiting the centre of Phrae, though, it’s a bit too far north, and there are generally better options in the city.

The floor tiles in the room and toilet get quite slippery when wet, so watch your step. The bed had a good firmness for someone with back problems, and despite the hotel being by the street, it wasn’t noisy.
