Phrae Nakara Hotel

It’s within walking distance of the old city and close to a 7-11. The hotel is a grand old building with an impressive lobby, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our basic room was adequate, with a good city view, a comfortable bed, working air con, and a warm shower, though the showerhead was a little low. There was loud music and noise at night. We were on the 6th floor, so it didn’t bother us too much, and my husband didn’t wake at all. For a short stay, it’s a good budget hotel, and we were happy with what we paid.

The mountain view from the balcony is nice, even with other buildings around. The room was clean, and the new air conditioner worked really well. I stayed two nights, though the hotel itself is pretty old and quite a few things in the room are worn. There seemed to be live music nearby at night, so light sleepers should keep that in mind. Don't expect too much, but it can still be a decent budget stay.

The room was large, with a balcony and great views. It's an old hotel that's been refurbished, and the quality felt perfectly fine for what I paid. They gave me a bargain rate after I mentioned booking through Agoda, which made me very happy. There was a kettle but no coffee. One of the front desk staff spoke good English and helped me book my next hotel, where they only spoke Thai.

The location is central, and the room was quite okay. I stayed for two nights, and there didn't seem to be many other guests. Breakfast is ordered from a menu, with limited choices rather than a buffet. Around midnight, loud music from downstairs made it hard to sleep.
