Centara Karon Resort Phuket

The Kids Club kept our 4-year-old entertained on rainy days when we couldn’t use the pool. There were lots of activities, especially pizza making and T-shirt making. Nicky and one of the female Kids Club staff took wonderful care of our child, making the vacation even more enjoyable. All the staff, including the concierge and restaurant team, were kind and welcoming. Some requests, like the bedding arrangements and late checkout, hadn’t been properly passed along to the front desk in advance, but the staff made a genuine effort to sort it out. We visited during the rainy season and had days of rain, but still had a very enjoyable vacation and would love to return. Centara Karon was a peaceful retreat in nature, and a great place to stay with our 4-year-old. The renovated room was clean and comfortable.

Being able to walk to Karon Beach, 7-Eleven, Watsons, and plenty of restaurants made the location really convenient. We also liked having three pools to choose from, especially the family pool where my son had a brilliant time. Our room felt modern and comfortable. The ceiling fan was a welcome feature in the humid seaside weather, and the big smart TV had YouTube and Netflix. The hotel app is handy for finding information and services, so I'd suggest downloading it before you arrive. The staff made the stay feel special from start to finish. Jenny at reception helped us check in, showed us to our room, and carefully explained the facilities. The Kids’ Club team were caring and attentive, and staff around the resort greeted us with warm smiles. We had a fantastic stay at Centara Karon Resort and would recommend it to families, couples, or anyone after a comfortable, convenient base in Karon.

We came for our honeymoon with our 2.5 year old, and had such a great time. The resort has recently been renovated, and the photos really don't capture how nice it is. Our child loved the kids' pool, especially the fountains and slides, and we went to the play room every day. Service was top notch throughout. The food was much better than at most of the street restaurants, and the spa was divine, worth every dollar. Highly recommend!

The all inclusive food and drinks were great value, and the gym had plenty of equipment. Since we had a late departure, the resort also arranged a late checkout. We stayed six nights and had a lovely time, thanks in large part to the staff. Nannie served us lunch and dinner each day at the pool club restaurant and was an amazing waitress. Salem and Songkran were excellent porters, often offering buggy rides around the resort in the heat and helping us in lots of ways. A few things could be better. The restaurants and lobby are open air, but in the heat we'd have preferred air conditioning, both while eating and while waiting. The bathroom setup in our room also lacked privacy: the toilet and shower were in separate rooms, while the basin and mirror were out in the bedroom, and there was no fan ventilation. Breakfast was limited in some areas, especially gluten free and healthy choices. Still, we'd recommend the resort for its value, location, and friendly staff.
