Kata Palace Phuket Hotel

The bed and pillows were so poor that I could feel the springs through the mattresses and barely sleep. The whole place felt extremely outdated and filthy: towels, sheets, bathtub, toilet, even the clogged sink were dirty. Housekeeping put the used sheets back on and refolded old towels instead of changing them. Spend a little more and skip this “palace.” Good sleep and cleanliness are worth it.

The staff were the highlight, especially Dai and her friend and coworker. Thanks for being so kind and helpful, and I wish them lots of success. The room and hotel were clean, quiet, and great, and the location is perfect, close to the beach and bus stop.

The room was spacious and well equipped, and they cleaned it whenever I asked. I also appreciated the two bottles of water each day. Staff were very polite and quick to help, and the setting is great, just a few minutes from Kata Beach with restaurants and shops right outside. The shower was tiring to use because the shower head sat so low. WiFi was poor and unreliable the whole time, too. We had two very heavy downpours during my stay, and Kata nearly flooded once. Water at the entrance made coming and going stressful, and being stuck inside for a while was frustrating. It was sorted out the next day.

The staff are warm and friendly, and there are lots of restaurants just a 5-minute walk away. I've stayed here 3-4 times because the accommodation is reasonably priced. The rooms are quiet.
