Pier 42 is less than 100m from Chalong Pier, which was very convenient. We stayed for four nights and found the staff, all of them, friendly and accommodating. The Thai hospitality really came through. Our room had two single beds for two friends, with clean, good quality bedding and quaint decor. They inspected and cleaned it when we asked, and the way they passed our requests along to housekeeping was a nice surprise I'll leave you to discover. Breakfast was included and served in their small coffee shop and dining area. The selection was simple but ample: eggs, ham or sausage, wholewheat bread, fresh fruit, juices, muesli, and as much coffee as you want. I'd give this boutique hotel 4 out of 5 stars. A great place!

I was here in April 2014, and it was a lovely, quiet spot to relax. The pool was clean, with gardens kept in good shape around it, and the spa treatments were well worth the money. The staff were friendly and very helpful. You can walk to the pier for day trips. I'd highly recommend the resort. A ++++

The small pool is lovely for a dip in the afternoon, and the location is convenient for the pier if you're diving or taking a tour. The rooms were clean after a fresh renovation, and the staff were super friendly. It's family owned, good value, and well located. Highly recommended, and I'm very likely to come back.

The garden and pool felt cozy, exotic, and authentic, and the staff were really nice and helpful. Still, this stay didn't satisfy me, especially since I think the hotel has a lot more potential. The shower needs serious improvement, and some furniture looks a little shabby. The main problem was the noise from the bars and the ladies around the hotel. Their singing and music kept me awake at 2am. The hotel needs to take this issue seriously. I hope they can raise their standards.

Steve at Phuket Fishing Charters suggested Pier42 for its location and value when I wanted to be near Chalong Pier for fishing. For our two nights, a 3 star place was plenty, and we were happy with everything. It was easy to walk to lots of local restaurants, with places nearby to enjoy a few drinks too. Worth a try.
