Ratri Hotel Phuket Old Town

Mook and First made our stay especially easy, sorting out taxis and helping with whatever we needed. The room was spotless, and that huge, unbelievably comfortable bed was a highlight. The shower got properly hot, while the room stayed nice and cold despite the 90-degree weather. There wasn't a dresser or regular closet, though they could provide an iron. Breakfast came with the stay and had plenty of variety, with genuinely tasty food. No regular coffee downstairs, but they had Americano and espresso, and there was a coffee maker in the suite. The pool is on the small side, but clean, with an outdoor shower and restrooms nearby. The dining space is cute, modern, and well cared for. I’d happily stay here again.

I wouldn't book here again, and I wouldn't eat at the restaurant either. I paid 550 Baht for beef and potatoes and got about 100g of potato cut into four pieces, haha. The hotel staff were 10/10, but the kitchen team was a letdown, apart from one man and one woman. At the buffet, a staff member went straight to asking for our room number without even saying hello or good morning. Some waitresses also left dishes and walked off without a greeting, thanks, or even “enjoy your food.” Sleeping was horrible. The AC was extremely loud even on its lowest setting, around a constant 55dB, and didn't cool properly. Set to 22 degrees, it would jump between 22 and 25 for no clear reason and wake me up sweating in the night.

We were only doing island hopping, so we didn't need a fancy place and wanted to save a bit on the hotel. This worked well for us. In Phuket's old town there are lots of shops and restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk, and the area itself is nice. The staff were really lovely. Breakfast was okay, though the coffee could definitely be better 🥲.

The restaurant downstairs was a good choice throughout our stay, with breakfast, tasty meals, cooking classes, cocktails, and live music every night. Monday and Tuesday were my favorite music nights, though the sounds were great all week. The hotel sits right in the heart of Old Town but still feels peaceful. The warmhearted team works hard, and the place is comfortable. I'd come back anytime and recommend it to anyone. Thanks for all the lovely hospitality, dear Ratri team!
