Rayaburi Hotel Patong

Stayed almost two weeks with a friend and had a lovely time. The staff were so welcoming and warm, always trying to help with whatever we needed. We'll definitely come back. 🥰

The room was musty and had no windows. The hotel is old and dirty, nothing like the photos, and the manager was rude and immature. I won't stay here again.

I went twice last year while travelling in Thailand. For what it costs, you get a good-sized room, bathroom and amenities, plus a convenient location. There were a few quirks, sure, but the price and location make it worth five stars to me.

The general area is okay and near the beach, but the rooms themselves are in a very bad location. This property is listed on Booking.com as a hotel, yet it has no restaurant, bar, or proper services. Calling it a hotel doesn't fit; it should be listed as rooms, since it lacks even basic hotel standards. We couldn't stay more than an hour. On arrival, they said we'd been upgraded, but the room was small, smelly, very dusty, and poorly cleaned. The air conditioning barely worked, and the toilet paper was already half used. We had booked a twin double room but got one single bed instead. The receptionist was rude from the start and took us with our luggage through a dirty back area to the room. A cockroach ran across the floor in front of her. When we asked for a clean, larger room with the two beds we had booked, she refused in an unfriendly and unprofessional way. I asked for a manager, but was told there wasn't one on site. She said the manager communicated only online, lived in Bangkok, and wasn't well known even to the staff. We were told we could leave but wouldn't get a refund. The attitude and tone were unacceptable. We left immediately because of the conditions and service. Dusty, dirty rooms, cockroaches, incorrect information about room types, rude staff, no manager present, and no willingness to help. I strongly advise other travellers to avoid this place. The way it's advertised should change.
