Shade House - Phuket Downtown

AKE made us feel genuinely welcome, with thoughtful help and local tips whenever we needed them. The hotel has a calm feel despite being in the city, and it's handy for both malls and local markets. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with modern touches alongside local character. A lovely little place in Phuket, we'd happily stay again.

The courtyard is lovely, creative, and clean, and the whole place has a beautiful modern look. My room was immaculate, with decor that felt carefully done everywhere. The team puts together dinner each evening. Ake was especially kind and attentive, always ready to help and very accommodating. He even offered to take a photo when he noticed me trying to get a selfie. Such a wonderful host.

For the price, I haven't found anywhere more comfortable, even after travelling a lot. The room was spotless, the facilities all worked properly, and the atmosphere was great. Mr. Ake was so helpful and kind, sharing useful information and suggesting places that suited what we wanted to do. I'd recommend staying here if you're visiting Phuket.

The attic bed made our room unusual, and we had to climb up to reach it, but we enjoyed the setup. There was also a little sitting area with a TV and mini fridge, plus a cute dressing space by the bathroom. The hotel and rooms were exceptionally clean, and the decorated, well-kept lobby had a feel like a room from the Harry Potter books. Mr Ake was so welcoming and helped us plan places to see on our first trip to Thailand. He also offered us lobby snacks and coffee during our two-day stay. Chillva Market is very close, and Lotus’s is about 100m away. Cozy, clean, and good value. We're glad we stayed here.
