Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket

We had such a special holiday at Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, and we'll definitely return. Everyone was kind and professional. Tiffy, Golf, Milo, and Yot at the pool bar and restaurant were especially attentive, and we were treated so well when we had massages at the spa. Thanks to everyone at this beautiful hotel!

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, a good fit for a resort holiday, and the beachside setting made the whole place feel peaceful. Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket is a beautiful, well-maintained resort right on the beach. There are several restaurants, with plenty of choice and good quality. The food was excellent, fresh, and well prepared throughout our stay. A fantastic place for a relaxing beachfront break in Phuket.

For me, this place is worth at most €120 a night. It’s an outdated mass tourism resort with no real luxury, and there’s a price tag on everything. I wish I’d paid attention to the negative reviews, they were all true. You feel scammed at every turn. The hotel is tucked away with nowhere to walk nearby, and traffic is heavy from morning until evening. Walking on the beach means being stopped by traders selling jet ski rides, clothes, and necklaces. The beach itself had no loungers, parasols, or space, and nobody looking after it. By 9 am, people had covered all the plastic sunbeds with towels. The pool areas were noisy, and staff mostly seemed bothered when you asked for anything. Food was very expensive, with poor ingredients and little choice. The restaurant staff were lovely, but the restaurants were constantly understaffed, so even simple things took a while. Don't pay extra for oceanfront, it was the same as sea view. Even though we had a renovated room and probably the best available option, it was quite small, definitely not the advertised 35 square metres. The bathroom was so dated, with chipped tiles patched with extra glue, scratched old shower glass, and a leaking shower booth. The TV wouldn't let us connect our Netflix, and the only option was pay-per-view films at 99 BHT.

Dinner at Laguna Restaurant, Dusit Thani Phuket was lovely, with a beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and very professional service. Our waitress Agree deserves a special thank you. She was attentive and friendly, and made the evening really enjoyable. Highly recommended if you're staying at Dusit Thani Phuket.
