Naithonburi Beach Resort Phuket

The room looked pretty, but it wasn’t fit to rent out. It smelled strongly of gutters, and the bathroom was covered in mould. The towels had holes, and breakfast was terrible and expensive. Noise was a problem all day from music next door, then at night from music across the road. Mosquitoes also kept us awake. We had four expensive nights with no sleep because of the noise, smell and mosquitoes. When we said we wanted to leave, they offered another room, but then said it was booked and we couldn’t move. We were also told that room was noisier anyway. They refused to refund us, simply because they were unwilling to do so. We gave them a chance to fix the situation by letting us leave, but they wouldn’t. I can’t leave a good review for a room in that condition.

The room was spacious and clean, with tasteful decor and a very comfortable bed. The view was just okay, though, not as impressive as you might expect from a beachside hotel in Phuket. There were so many mosquitoes inside that it was hard to relax, and the hotel didn’t provide repellent or seem to do much to keep them out. There isn’t a pool, bar or any activities, so there’s little to do if you stay around. It feels more like somewhere to sleep than a place to spend time. Fine for a short visit if you’ll be out all day, but not much of a resort experience.

Nai Thon is a quiet beach that’s great for relaxing. The villas are amazing, very modern and well presented, with a lovely big living and dining area.

The room and kitchen were both good. The sea view was a little obscured, so the description felt slightly misleading, but everything else was great.
