Wong Muang Place

We got a free airport transfer both when we arrived and before our flight back to Indonesia. The owner was really kind and offered the rides after we asked how to get to the city center. Winrisa Place also has big rooms with hot water and is only 15 minutes walking distance from Phuket Airport. Lots of restaurants are around, especially halal ones, and 7 elevens are handy for basics like water or wet tissue.

Handy for the airport and fine for a one-night stand. The place wasn’t clean.

The hotel’s in an unusual spot with plenty of other hotels around, but you can walk to both the beach and the airport. There are coffee shops and restaurants all around, and the room was large, bright, and had facilities that made for a comfortable stay. It was very tidy and well maintained, and I got a warm welcome. The street out front is busy and has no crossings, so take care.

On my second stay, the WiFi was fast and reliable. There had been problems with it on my previous visit, but those seem to be fixed. Staff are really friendly and helpful, and it’s good value. For a quiet room, try to book as far from the main street as possible. The beach is about a 15 minute walk, and most services are close by. There’s a self-service laundry across the street, and the nice lady there will wash and fold clothes for about $5 for a small load.
