The Royal Gems Golf Resort

You need a membership to play here, which keeps the course quiet and private. Royal Gems Golf Club Salaya is one of Thailand's finest private courses. The fairways are well kept, the greens are fast, and the elevation changes make you reach for every club. It's scenic and challenging. Service is excellent too, with professional caddies, an easy check-in, and a well-managed clubhouse. ⛳️💎

Getting here requires a private car, as there's no public transport. Having your own vehicle also helps if you want to go into the city for food, sightseeing, or other activities. The Royal Gems Resort is a good option for golfers or people attending meetings or doing business in the area, and I found it good value for the price. I was here for a work seminar. The hotel is inside The Royal Gems Golf Course in Nakhon Pathom, about a two-hour drive from Bangkok. There are four buildings, A through D. Buildings A and B are high-rises, with the lobby and restaurant in A; C and D are the villa area, where my room was. A and B seemed older, probably because the villas were built more recently. My room in Building C had warm earth-tone decor that felt cozy and relaxing, plus two bottles of drinking water, two bottles each of soap and shampoo, and a desk and chair for work or meals. The golf course view was the best part, peaceful and refreshing. Lobby and restaurant staff were satisfactory, though service could improve. The hotel is small and in a quiet, non-touristy area, so staff may lack experience or training. Better training could make the service more professional. Breakfast had a reasonable selection for the price: fried eggs, Thai dishes, noodles, toast, tea, and coffee. Guests can also use the pool and fitness center.

The course is in very good condition, and its holes have character without too many signature holes. The clubhouse restaurant and locker room are beautifully decorated, and the air-conditioned drink hut is even better.

It's a lovely course in good condition right now, with a nice challenge. Some may find it a little short, but playing with friends who share the same interests is still fun and relaxing.
