Baan Sunset Resort

We ended up staying four nights and would happily return. The reservoir park nearby made sunset views and morning walks a real highlight, and there’s plenty of parking if you’re driving. Restaurants and cafes line this stretch of road, and there’s even a dental clinic close by, which helped when I had an emergency. We also tried an ATV ride nearby. Pattaya attractions are about a 30-minute drive away. It’s a family-run place, with a garden and pool, spacious clean rooms, comfortable beds, a sofa, and a handy kitchenette. The owners and housekeeping team were especially helpful. Breakfast isn’t included, though Baan Sunset can prepare simple meals.

Across the road there’s a lake with a 10 km path for running or cycling, which could make this a nice base for a sporty weekend. The resort itself has bungalows spaced out around a large pool, so it feels roomier than a hotel. We had an excellent weekend, and the price was really competitive.

We came by on Sunday afternoon for an early dinner and to catch the sunset over the lake during a half-day outing. We sat only in the front area by the street, but it was a very nice spot. The food was good, drinks were cold, prices were normal, and the staff were friendly. Our dog liked it too, and we’ll come back.

The food we tried was tasty and inexpensive, even though the menu isn’t large. There’s a pleasant pool area if you want a swim, and the trip out to the lake was nice. Staff were friendly. I’ll go again.
