Getaway Resort Lake Mabprachan Thailand

The family running this hotel were some of the nicest people I've met. They treated me like a friend and were attentive whenever I had a request. I appreciated the family feel, which you don't come across often. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the floor and lights were all fine. The bathroom was also okay, including the sink and toilet, though the shower started clogging near the end of my 30-day stay. It's in a quiet area where I slept well, but it's about 20 minutes from Pattaya beach, the malls, and city life. Some taxi drivers got lost because the entrance is a small entryway. Give them the specific location and hotel name, since they sometimes confuse it with another nearby hotel. It's a nice, peaceful place to stay, and the family were friendly and attentive. I recommend it.

We had a pleasant stay. The resort has a lovely pool, gym, bar, restaurant, and spa. Our standard room was basic but fine, with a small garden area outside where we could sit. I booked through Expedia on the same day, but they didn't know about the booking when we arrived, which may be why the room had no tea or coffee. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, and they offered a simple breakfast.

The pool was lovely, and dinner was simple but tasty. But the room wasn't the pool-view one I'd booked. The bed was extremely hard, there was only one pillow per person, and there was no coffee or cups. The air conditioning barely worked, and the hand basins had no hot-water tap. Breakfast was cold eggs or Asian food. Renovation noise and drilling from the next room started early Sunday morning, and the whole bar and entertainment area was closed for renovation.

The staff were genuinely kind and did their best to help us. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived after booking online, so they moved us to a larger one. Unfortunately, the fridge smelled awful, the hot water barely worked, and breakfast was very low quality.
