We went at lunchtime, so I didn’t get to see the live music on the stage. The covered wooden veranda looks out over the Bang Pakong river, with interesting decorations and good views. They don’t list vegetarian or vegan dishes, but you can order vegan stir-fried vegetables. The crinkle-cut chips were chunky and crispy, and the deep-fried cashews came with lime, shallots, spring onion, and a red and green chilli dressing.

I paid 500 baht a night for a room with a 6-foot single bed. It was livable, but neither new nor very clean. The wardrobe was dusty, its plywood and the bed showed the basic materials, and the table edges were scratched. There was a musty smell, too. The floor and bath mat were so slippery that I nearly fell several times. I asked for another bath mat, but they refused, even though the accommodation staff knew about the problem and didn’t fix it. Anyone staying here should be very careful.

Next to the accommodation there’s a restaurant where you can relax and listen to music, including live performances. The room is simple, with a table and chair, and has hot water, a shower, refrigerator, TV, and air conditioning. The accommodation is clean, spacious, and comfortable.

The room was clean and reasonably priced. The food was delicious and good value too, especially the fresh grilled shrimp with firm meat. Everything we tried was tasty.

There are several accommodation zones, priced at 400, 500, 600, and 700 baht. The amenities are available but nothing luxurious, and the bedrooms sit next to the restaurant, so diners can make noise at night. If you’re partying with friends, that can be fun; otherwise it may get annoying. The restaurant has a river view and a great location, with varied, delicious food and karaoke. You can also charter a boat for sightseeing for 1,500 baht.
