OYO isn’t operating in Thailand but still takes money for bookings without giving refunds. They charged me almost 800 for another property that didn’t exist. When I called to ask for a refund, they left me on hold endlessly.

When I got there, the hotel refused to honor my OYO reservation for three rooms. They said they had stopped working with OYO years ago and told me to book directly with them. I asked them to help cancel the OYO booking so I could get my money back, but they wouldn't help. It seemed strange that rooms were still being advertised through agencies with a promotion running if the hotel had stopped selling through them. I think this was a fraudulent hotel; they could have simply logged into the agency system and stopped listing their rooms. I arrived early enough to find another place, but I still lost the money I'd paid here. As for OYO, I wouldn't book with them either. Their support was awful. I had to make an expensive international call from Thailand to India, and all I got was, “We can't hear you, sir.”

They refused the booking and offered no service. There was no English and no effort to sort anything out, and the staff were rude. If they were full, why was the room still shown as available in the booking system, and why did they take the payment? I still haven't received a refund.

The loud live music from the bar across the street went on until midnight, so getting to sleep earlier was impossible, however tired I was. The hotel itself was in terrible shape too. The room was dark and very old, the fridge smelled like milk that had been left to expire for months, and the AC seemed as old as King Rama 1. The bathroom was awful, with mold on the walls and a toilet that looked like it had come from a garbage dump. The towels seemed to have been cut into small pieces because there weren't enough. Then the receptionist charged me another 130 bath, saying the standard room I'd booked wasn't available and I had to upgrade to a deluxe. It looked exactly like the room shown on Agoda. I've stayed in cheap places while backpacking in Thailand, and this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Find somewhere else.

The hotel is right across from the beach, and there's a great running path along the shore. The online photos gave a misleading impression, though. The place is very dated, and our room smelled musty and had lots of mosquitoes and cockroaches. We could hear people down the hallway through the thin walls, so we left the bathroom fan running all night to cover the noise. I wouldn't stay here again.
