Sun Beach Hotel

The real star at Sun Beach is LAK. She seems to be the only English speaker, does everything, and goes out of her way to handle requests. The 10 rooms are spotless and comfortable, with a better view upstairs. It’s a delightful little “hotel” on the promenade, looking over the fishing bay, and the market, pier, and delicious eateries are all within walking distance.

The building is a little old, but it’s well cared for, and the rooms and especially the bed were clean and comfortable. You can get a nice bay view from the second floor, which costs a little more; the less expensive first floor rooms have less of a view. Prices were good for the area, and restaurants and bars aren’t a bad walk away.

Amazon Coffee is just a short walk away, and the view is to die for. This is a charming little hotel with bright colors and immaculate upkeep. The furnishings were fine, and everything felt clean and comfortable. Hotels can’t all be new. We hope to come back.

The exterior and views from the rooms are nice, and there’s a pleasant pool with deck chairs. Inside, though, the rooms feel dated, with old-fashioned decor and furniture. There was futureboard everywhere, perhaps to cover older surfaces. The rooms need an upgrade.
