Milford Paradise

It's so quiet around here, and every room has a sea view right by the beach. That's one of the best things about the hotel. The main letdown was breakfast, which isn't included in the room. The British and American sets are almost the same and don't really resemble the traditional versions.

The view was nice, and the food was so-so. My room was old, with stained carpet and chipped walls, and the room wasn't very clean. The lobby and the rest of the building also feel very old. I think the rooms depend on whether their owner has refurbished them or not, because my friend's room was newer and pretty good.

I paid 3,500 Baht for one day's rent for two people. The condo and its owner officially offered it for rent. It had a stove, oven, dishes, kitchen counters, beds for two and a sofa bed for two. The view was good, and the air felt fresh. A bed costs around 3.2-3.8mB depending on the location and floor, and more rooms mean a higher price. This sort of place could be more comfortable for families or friends traveling as a group of 3-4, possibly with kids, so they can share one space. It is private, uncrowded and quiet, which suits people looking for privacy. But it's very old-fashioned, far from everything, down deep roads that are very dark at night. I worried about the risk of street accidents and about people’s cows, hoping they wouldn't cross the road while I was driving. The accommodation is far away enough that I'd rather rent a better hotel. It's also not suitable for low-bodied coupe cars with low side skirts.

The sea is beautiful, but the building feels creepy and isolated, and it's huge and run down.
