Palm Beach Resort

Of the five places we stayed in Thailand, this one gave us the best mix of value and service. Our host had a great sense of what we might need, like meeting us after a bike ride with cold water. The bikes were free to use, and everything was included in the price. The room was roomy, comfortable, and very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and the host was welcoming and attentive to the details.

The sunrise appears right in front of the hotel, and the small saltwater pool is clean and inviting. I came for privacy and a chance to relax, and this place has both. Service feels better than at the bigger hotels. Breakfast comes to you instead of being laid out as a buffet, and it looks good enough to photograph. The room was cozy, with strong water pressure, a good-sized fridge, and a safe bolted down. I could write more, but I’m going back to relaxing.

The beach is just across the road, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. It has that home-away-from-home feel, and the owner was warm and paid attention to every detail. Breakfast was exceptional, too. We had a great stay and thought it was excellent value. If you want somewhere lovely to unwind, I’d recommend it and would definitely come back :)

We normally choose high-end Sheraton-type resorts, but this time we wanted something with more of a Thai feel. Ploy, A, and the rest of the staff looked after us so well, always attentive. Our room was bright, spacious, and immaculately clean. Breakfast was delivered each day just as we’d asked. We could have pre-ordered almost anything and Ploy would have found it, though our requests were simple. The hotel is across the road from the sea, handy for a walk on the beach or promenade. Thanks, Ploy, for taking such good care of us. We’ll be back.
