The room was roomy and generally clean, and the reception team were friendly and quick. I liked being right beside the Mekong River, even though the main sights downtown are about a 30-minute walk away. If you enjoy the riverside path, that walk makes the location work well, and having a gas station and 7-Eleven next door is handy. My concern was upkeep around the room, not housekeeping. There were unsealed gaps around corners and edges, including by the bathtub, so insects could get in. I started noticing ants after I’d been there a while, on the cabinet, by the TV stand and on the floor. There were also some bigger spiders in corners with old webs, and I woke up to a gecko in the bathroom. Being near the river probably makes pest control harder, but sealing those openings would make a real difference. Still, I had a good stay and found it comfortable and good value, especially for the river views.

We came back to Nakorn Phanom this year and spent four days here. It was a really relaxing stay, and the rate was reasonable. I first stayed at this hotel in 2024 and was impressed by the view from our room window. I’ve returned every time I’ve visited Nakorn Phanom. Highly recommend it.

I could roll my bike into the elevator and take it right up to my room, which was great. The hotel also had a lovely sunrise view over the Mekong toward Laos. Thanks!

The riverside path is great for a walk or some exercise, and the beds are solid. There are lovely views and a free breakfast too, all at a very reasonable price for such a good spot on the Mekong. Some things are limited: service is a little sparse, there are hardly any extra amenities, and the bathroom lighting is dim. Still, the hotel is priced just right for its market and draws regional visitors and Thais from all over. I think it should stay as it is. If Western tourists come, they may not understand or appreciate the charm and importance it has in this lovely Province. It’s a hidden gem.
