Safehouse Hostel

We extended our stay and were tempted to make it even longer. The owners are a really sweet, helpful couple, and we rented a scooter from them for 250THB per day. There’s a four-person air-conditioned dorm that was clean and comfortable, with little lockers and keys that fit a passport and camera, though not a backpack. You can use the fridge, small kitchen and free filtered water, and there’s free coffee too. A delightful hostel in a lovely little town.

The owner was so friendly and polite. The hostel has a few dorms and private rooms, with air-conditioning and the basic things you need. There’s a small balcony and a kitchen with basic cooking equipment. I’ve stayed twice and would come again.

Sherry and her family really look after you. When my partner was very ill and stuck in bed for a day, the owner’s mother came upstairs with rice soup and fruit. That says a lot about how helpful and caring they are. The hostel was clean and comfortable too. If you’re passing through, give it a try. We’ll definitely return. Thanks again, guys!

Sherry, the owner of the safehouse, is a wonderful woman with a warm smile and laugh. She’s happy to chat and answer any questions. The hostel has nice indoor and outdoor seating, and it’s more or less halfway between the beach and night market. The things in the fridge cost about the same as at 7/11, so you may as well support the little guy.
