We stayed in February, and the evenings were cool enough that we didn’t need to use the fan. Someone was fitting air conditioning in another house while we were there, and all the houses were expected to have it by the end of March, so it should be a good place to sleep in summer too. The owner was really friendly and welcomed us after his dog, "kaka", greeted us when we arrived. He showed us to our little house. Outside there’s a relaxing chair and a table with two small chairs facing the water. Inside, the bed for two was comfortable, and there was a TV and a fan. I didn’t personally need a fridge, but the rooms didn’t have one at the time. The bathroom is small, though there’s enough space for the shower, toilet, and sink. I’d read that people had fished in the lake, so I asked about it. They gave me a rod and freshly made bait at no extra cost. There are supposed to be 1,000 fish in the lake. I only caught a small one in February, unfortunately, but I was told the water warms up around March-April, which gives you a better chance of catching the bigger ones. If you catch a large fish, the owner will cook it for you on the BBQ. Breakfast was excellent, with porridge, eggs, bread, and deep-fried dough. The place can be difficult to find, so make sure you have a Thai SIM card for Google Maps. Everyone was extremely friendly, and I definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely, peaceful setting, a little way outside Pua City. Highly recommended.

A good place.

I was impressed by the peaceful atmosphere, balcony view, and the included breakfast. The room was lovely and clean, and the owner was kind and helpful, offering advice about everything. There’s no air conditioning. During our stay the weather was cool, so we didn’t need it, though I can’t say how hot it gets in summer. I gave it four stars because a few things still need attention, though I understand the accommodation is new to the business and I want to encourage the owner. The water smelled rusty and looked a little cloudy. The water heater didn’t seem powerful enough, as the water wasn’t very hot. There’s no refrigerator in the room either.

It's a lovely town with wonderful people, and the owners here are kind and friendly, almost like family. The place is clean, quiet, and has a great atmosphere, with many tourist attractions nearby. Rooms are limited, so book ahead. The price is affordable, and I’d definitely come back. Highly recommend it if you need a place to stay.
