JJ Beach Resort

The food is delicious, and the restaurant feels romantic, especially with the sunset view. We returned for New Year's Eve, and even though they were serving a buffet, they made an effort to arrange a nice table and a vegetarian meal for us at short notice. I’m very grateful. Thanks 🙏

We stayed at JJ’s for the second time, and it feels like a home away from home. Our bungalow was very spacious for two adults and a child. It has no air conditioning, just two standing fans, though there are other villas with AC. A mini mart at the resort entrance is open from 8am until around 9pm, so we could get drinks, snacks and toiletries easily. See you next year! ❤️

From JJ himself and the staff to the rooms, beach and food, I loved everything. We’d spent six days on the island, exploring different areas by scooter and staying at another guest house too, and this is the best place to stay here. The beach feels safe, and the sea is predictable, so you can paddle, swim or surf. The massage was top notch as well. We felt relaxed from the first minute and didn’t want to leave 😭🤣.

JJ and the crew are really kind and helpful, and make you feel welcome. The rooms are the downside. On a small island, I’d expect them to be better than some of the other rooms around. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable, and some rooms don’t have hot water. Everything is very clean, but very basic.
