Numsai Khaosuay Resort

I chose what seemed the safest hotel because it was close to the Myanmar border. We spent the day at the hot springs, so I didn’t see much else. The hotel has a small restaurant serving local Thai food. I was told all the other rooms were sold out, so I got the most expensive one, a lovely suite with an outdoor jacuzzi said to use mineral spring water. The cozy wood floors and decor were nice, and all the rooms have good views. Mine had a separate large shower and a toilet behind its own door. Some of the black furniture was chipped and could use a quick touch-up. The wood stairs outside are worn, so watch your footing going up and down to the front. Parking was good. I enjoyed the stay overall, though $150 US felt steep. Breakfast was included, and the food was okay, reasonable, but not spectacular Thai food. The staff were very friendly.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the staff are nice. Breakfast was good. It’s close to the market, and you can walk along the river to the hot springs.

After driving a good 500km, I was tired enough to sleep anywhere, but we found this lovely little hotel near the town center. The warm welcome and easy check-in, followed by a comfortable room, felt like bliss after a long day. It’s a small, peaceful place with a little pool, good for a quiet night’s rest. It does what it does well: comfortable beds and a shower. Our room didn’t have a bath, but for one night that wasn’t essential. As usual in Thailand, the staff were very helpful, and breakfast was adequate. If you’re passing through or stopping over, you won’t regret staying here.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. A beautiful place to stay.
