Fine for a quick overnight stop, but I wouldn’t stay longer. The hotel needs a major renovation, especially the bathrooms, and the bathtubs were quite dirty. When we arrived, there were dead flies on the linen. Breakfast was only Thai rice soup, with no eggs, bread, cereal, or real coffee. The orange juice was the very sweet syrup kind.

The night porter was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was okay, though the choice was limited and just sufficient. The manager seemed quite reserved. The hotel feels very dated. A musty smell in our room lingered even after we aired it out. During the night, rain came through the ceiling and landed right in our suitcase. Damage on the bathroom ceiling was obvious as well. They let us move rooms, but the replacement was smaller.

You can get into the inner city easily, and Raksawarin hot spring is close enough to walk to. The place feels cozy, with a peaceful creek view right outside the room window.

The beds are extremely firm, but the place was clean and the staff were great. The grounds are nicely landscaped, and you can sit outside your room at the breakfast tables. The Thai breakfast was simple but filling.

The location is fabulous, and the place has a quirky feel. Breakfast was pretty Spartan. The hot springs are nearby, and they’re really, really hot. Too hot for me, but still great fun.
