The room was basic but good for what it cost. The owner was friendly and could speak English, and the place has a relaxed feel right by the beach. Handy for overland travellers, though the nearest 7-11 is about 2-3 km away.

Finding food nearby was really difficult, and the room lock was awkward to get to. The room also needed a better clean: it was dusty, the sheets didn't look clean and should have been white, the towels were full of lint, and there were gecko droppings. The owner was kind, and the seaside atmosphere was nice.
