The Sun Resort

The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious and clean, and there was a big parking area right in front of each room. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We managed to understand each other even though they don't speak English. My room, number 17, had no window, and neither did the bathroom. The bathroom was also quite dark, with no extractor fan. I'd have preferred a room with a window, even if it cost more. The air conditioning unit outside sounded like a tractor! No major complaint, and I'd recommend staying, but make sure to get a room with a window.

For this price, the room was in very good condition and clean compared with some other hotels. Having a car would make it easier to get around while staying here.

Everything was great, from the staff's hospitality to the room and parking. The whole view was lovely. I'd come back again.

We came back to Sun Resort while passing through Ratchaburi, after enjoying an Economy double room on our first stay about four months ago. That category was sold out this time, so we booked a Superior A room instead. Although it's pricier and meant to be an upgrade, we didn't enjoy it as much. There are a few extra amenities, including a bathrobe and hand towels. But the room is small, has a rather industrial feel with polished concrete walls, and sits in an annex that looks like a warehouse from outside. The biggest issue was having no windows at all, not even in the bathroom, and no natural daylight. When I woke up, I couldn't tell if it was sunny, raining, or even daytime. It felt like being in a prison cell. I'm still giving four stars because our first stay was better. If there's a third visit, it'll be in the Economy room, which has a small window to the outside.
