Green Gen Hotel Phuket

This is my second visit, and I'll be back next year with my wife. I want to do lots of island visits, and there's a boat pier just five minutes away. The staff are very helpful, the place is clean, and the beds are super comfortable. I asked to hire a motorbike, and it showed up 20 minutes later. Exceptional value for money. It's a lovely place outside town, so it's fairly quiet. Cows wander around, and the insects make an incredible noise.

The staff stood out most, their service was very good. The other guests were lovely, too. It's got a good, chill atmosphere and suits people who want to relax on a budget.

The area felt really inconvenient, with no local spots I wanted to eat at and a 30-minute walk to the nearest 7-Eleven. Kids rode around nearby day and night, and someone played the same music all day. The toilets, showers, and reception were about 50 metres from the bedrooms, and there was no water dispenser, so everything cost extra. The kitchen staff gave me one frozen chicken spring roll while the others were cooked, then laughed with colleagues when I raised it. I had to ask reception for a refund. Bizarre thing to do to a stranger. Mosquitoes were everywhere and bit me through most of the night. The reception staff were the exception to the awful staff. I wouldn’t stay again even if I were paid.

A peaceful, almost heavenly place, with beaches nearby and great prices. The service was top-notch. I’d happily come back 🤗
