At the Tree Condominium by Chaiya

The place had a peaceful, tranquil feel, and the pool was awesome. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. The rooms and views were beautiful, and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed for self-service meals. The TV has HD cable, so you can connect a laptop for movies. There’s a 7-11 nearby for anything you need, along with a few bars and other places. They charge 150 baht per night for electricity and water, plus a 2,000 baht deposit. Apart from that, there were no real surprises.

We’re a family with two infants, and this is our second year staying here. We’re very happy and will definitely come again next year. The staff’s warmth and hospitality are the best, the pool area is lovely, and the apartments are new, spacious, and great for families with small children. There’s a huge garage for cars and plenty of room to park motorcycles. The rooms are cleaned every four days, and the Wi-Fi works excellently.

The condo is nice, though dated, and the rooms have a somewhat stuffy smell. It only has built-in air conditioners, which I don’t like because they can be dirty and add to the electricity cost. A sea-facing room on the fifth floor has a lovely view. The one-bedroom option isn’t really a separate bedroom, though, more like a studio with a sliding door 🤷🏻‍♀️

We stayed for two and a half months and had a really good experience. This is one of the best condos in Rawai. The building is smaller than some nearby condos, which made it feel more comfortable and safe. There are lots of CCTV cameras, a nice night guard with a cat, underground parking that always had free spaces, and elevators. The apartments are good and well designed, apart from having a window into the toilet room. There are many massage places, small shops with different brands, local cafes, tourist cafes, and bars nearby. Rawai is much quieter and nicer than overcrowded areas like Patong. Rawai Beach isn’t for swimming, but it’s pleasant to ride along when heading toward Chalong and farther on. You can take a nice scooter ride to Nai Harn Beach or Kata Noi Beach, and there are many other great spots in the area. You’ll need a scooter or car to get around comfortably, since Phuket generally isn’t a place for walking. The downsides: construction was happening directly in front of the condo in January 2020, so a sea-facing apartment would have been a better choice. Nearby construction also made the ride in uncomfortable, with lots of dust. There’s no gym, and prices are high. Internet could be unstable when there were lots of tourists, around late December and January. Huge thanks to Daniel and the other staff, who work every day. Daniel was very helpful even though we weren’t guests of Preedaview, and we got a lot of help during our stay. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a room that met our requirements, so we had to contract with another owner. We had an unpleasant experience with the owner of room 209, a highly arrogant woman who didn’t say bye or thanks even once. We contracted with the agent Bao, who was nice but only handled the basics, forgot almost everything, and wasn’t very helpful. Mostly she sent bills and took money. As I understand it, she doesn’t work there and only occasionally shows rooms to guests.
