Baan Krating Phuket Resort

Tucked into the jungle by the sea, this is a cozy hotel in a peaceful part of Phuket. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are caring, and the atmosphere is calm. It’s a bit of a trek from both the old town and the airport. I’d plan to spend plenty of time at the hotel. If you want to go out, arrange taxis and timing carefully, since a ride may not be easy to find right away and traffic jams can sometimes be serious.

This place seems best suited to a proper vacation without work. The beaches were 10/10 and absolutely worth snorkeling, and the location, landscaping, and beautiful rooms made for a breathtaking setting. I’d come again. During our stay we had no Wi-Fi in the room, so anyone who needs to work there should be ready to use mobile data and a hotspot. The beds were uncomfortable, too. A couple of times we asked the front desk for help and were told they’d take care of it, but heard nothing back. We had to follow up hours later, so don’t hesitate to call again if you’re waiting. We included breakfast. I liked the omelette station, but the coffee wasn’t good. It comes from a press-to-make coffee machine, so I guess you can’t expect too much. For a no-devices kind of getaway, though, it could be perfect. 🥰

The staff were attentive and very accommodating, and both breakfast and the restaurant meals were really nice. The accommodation at Baan Krating Phuket was good, though it could have been kept up a little better. I also enjoyed a morning yoga session. There’s great snorkelling around the corner from the main beach area. Recommended.

We had a sea view deluxe pavilion, and the big windows and view made the stay unforgettable. The hotel also has access to a quiet, peaceful beach. Breakfast and massage were both so good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A great hotel for couples and a relaxing break. Highly recommend, and I hope we return ❤️
