Phuket Muay Thai Hotel Rawai Beach

I started with no experience, but Phuket Muay Thai welcomed me warmly and helped me learn a lot in a short time. The coaches are friendly and knowledgeable, focusing on technique and encouraging you to improve. Everyone is so welcoming, and the family feel is rare in gyms anywhere. It might look intimidating, but I strongly recommend giving Phuket Muay Thai a try. If I’d had more time, I would have kept training. Thanks again to the team, I really enjoyed my time and can’t recommend you all enough!

The hotel staff were helpful and friendly, and my room was clean with a nice view of Rawai Beach. The beach was okay, though I preferred Yanui Beach, about a 20-minute walk from the gym. It can be more crowded, unfortunately. There are also quite a few good, reasonably priced restaurants nearby. I had a great time training and am already looking forward to coming back. Bryan and Yoyo, the owners, were very helpful and welcoming. The Krus are skilled, patient, and clearly want their trainees to improve. With seven Krus and usually around 10-16 trainees in a class, there’s a good trainer-to-trainee ratio and plenty of individual attention for technique. They also spar with trainees, which I haven’t seen at many gyms I’ve trained at. The sparring was mostly technical, without the ego that can sometimes get in the way with other trainees, and I learned a lot from it. Thank you, Kru Bryan, Yoyo, Kru Dato, Kru Jon, Kru Mat, Kru Wod, Kru Yo, Kru Aen, and the two lovely housekeepers whose names I forgot. See you all next year! 😎

Kru Brian and the trainers have this place running really well. The caring team is dedicated to helping you succeed, and the gym teaches authentic Muay Thai. I’ve trained at several top-notch gyms through Thailand, and this one is special. There are enough trainers for everyone to get almost private, one-on-one attention through several pad rounds. Kru Brian teaches technique in small groups, and the days alternate between sparring and clinching. I’ll definitely be back for future training.

We felt welcome right away at this fantastic Muay Thai school. The instructors take their time with you, and after our first lesson we knew we’d train there for the rest of our holiday. We had a wonderful time, the atmosphere was great, and we learned a lot.
