Caza V1 Serviced Apartment

For the money, this was probably the best place I stayed during my month in Thailand. The fridge, air conditioner, and hot water all worked. The cold shower had strong pressure, while the hot one was okay. The staff were kind and always ready to help with a smile. Free gym access was another big plus. I'll come back, thanks!

There’s a café on site, reception was decent, and parking is available around the hotel. The room was simple and fairly small, with a lot of unnecessary furniture taking up space. It was a decent enough hotel for what I paid, though I noticed the price can be higher at other times.

The staff were polite, though it felt like management's strict rules left them little room to help. We arrived an hour before check-in with breakfast included and only wanted to leave our bags before sightseeing. Despite many empty rooms, they wouldn't let us in, so we had to carry everything around all day. That was the first sign the stay might be difficult. When we eventually got into the room, it was dirty. There was dust on the floors and benches, and marks around the bathroom basin that looked like someone had brushed their teeth and left them. We complained right away and were moved to another room. The rooms are dated and some fittings are broken, but we were reasonably comfortable and mainly needed a shower and a night's sleep. Breakfast was also frustrating. As a foreigner, there wasn't much to choose from. I got an omelet, which was okay, but they wanted to charge extra for eggs and toast. When I asked for a slice of toast to go with the omelet, they still said it would cost extra, even after we argued that they could just put a piece of bread in the toaster. The coffee came in a small cup, which was fine, but getting a refill meant paying too. There was a sign at the hotel showing a lower price when we arrived. We contacted Agoda because they said they'd refund the difference if we found a cheaper rate, but Agoda said it wasn't advertised online and wouldn't refund us. Roosters living next to the building crowed constantly and might bother you. Everything felt like hard work, the management needs a shake-up, and I definitely won't return. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
