Hub de Leaf Rayong

I’ve stayed here several times. It’s quiet on the outskirts of town, just what I wanted, and a good base for cycling around Rayong. By car, it’s 5-10 minutes to the beachfront and 15 minutes to the town centre. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the service is really good. The 24-hour check-in is handy when you’re running late. They leave complimentary water each day, and there’s free 3-in-1 coffee in the lobby, plus a small fridge with refreshments for sale. Great experience, thank you!

The online price was 550. There were three women at reception. When I asked for a room, they first quoted 800, then 700. When I asked about the price I’d seen online, their behavior became unprofessional. I asked for a manager, but there wasn’t one, even though that’s part of the job. You had rooms free and a customer right there looking for one, but couldn’t sell it? There’s a better hotel 200 meters away.

We planned to stay three or four nights, but the desk staff wouldn’t let us see a room and said we could only look at a photo. The hotel seemed almost empty, and explaining that we wanted four nights made no difference. It was take it or leave it, so we left. We ended up at Charisma Residence, where we got a wonderful room with a great city view for much less.

Booking through Facebook was quick, and the service was kind. The room was clean and pretty big for two. Security is superb, with a key card, elevator, and large parking lots. Highly recommended!
