Sabaidee Beach

We picked this place for the last few days of our Thailand trip, hoping to unwind, and that worked out well. The owners were there whenever we needed help. The hotel is modern and beautifully designed, and their daughter, an architect, designed this family-run place. Our room was clean, bright with natural light, and lovely to me. The included breakfast was simple and free, with a view of the sea and sandy beach. The bed is very hard, so it suits people who like that. Hot showers are only available in the largest, more expensive rooms. You can rent a motorbike there if you don't have your own. There's also a blue public pick-up bus for 12 THB each way between Bus terminal 1, near the day and night markets in the center, and the bridge before Paksan Temple. That bridge isn't the final stop. A bar with music was due to open under the hotel from 14.1.2017, which might change how quiet it is. Given the building's construction, the music would carry into the rooms.

I’d pick a hotel in Rayong city instead of this one by the beach. For 400-500 baht you can find a much better room there, while this place charges 800. The beach is the reason for the higher price, but there isn’t much to do there. The city has more restaurants, shopping malls, and other things, and you can drive from Rayong city to the beach in five minutes. The food at the Sabaidee hotel restaurant was disappointing too. I paid 120 baht for a small pork dish. It was okay, but not delicious, and the restaurant felt expensive for what you got. You can eat better for less in the city.

Stayed one night on the way to ko chang. Great spot right on the beach, very clean, affordable, and the staff were amazing. Parking right in front of the hotel was available too.

The room was clean, and the morning sea view is something you really shouldn't miss. Nice place to slow down by the beach. The bathroom was just average.
