My Room By Sermsub

Our room was never cleaned, and the rubbish we left outside the door sat there for days. We had to fetch our own drinking water, while staff seemed to spend most of their time in the lobby. Service was poor overall. We paid 37€ a night and have stayed in much nicer places for that price, with actual service. I wouldn’t recommend it or come back. We’d booked four nights in the Royal suite, and the disappointment started as soon as we arrived. It was spacious, but furnished with very cheap Ikea furniture. Two large windows and two tiny ones all looked onto the building’s metal structure, leaving the room dark. The lights were harsh and uncomfortable, and none of the many switches could be reached from the bed.

The room was clean and nice, but staff started vacuuming at 9 o’clock while I was still asleep. It was extremely loud, and that’s not normal. One staff member who handled my booking was kind. The others showed very little courtesy: when they took our money at checkout, they didn’t even say thank you. We were confused when the receptionist told us there was no breakfast. Then, on the morning I checked out, I heard someone telling another room that breakfast was available. WTH.

We had a great stay, and they even provided free parking. This was just the stop we needed on the way from Ubon to the beach with our little baby. The staff were super helpful, and the room was inexpensive and clean, with a mini fridge, nice bathroom, and free breakfast. No frills here, so don’t expect a coffee maker, microwave, or elevator. The mattress was firmer than my silly American dream would like, though I’ve slept on worse.

We’d never slept in a container house before. The interior felt fancy, and although it was a bit cramped, it worked fine for a temporary stay. Parking the car was a bit of a problem, though there is an EV charger.
