The Three Bubble Houses

After I dropped my phone into the river on the second morning of our two-night stay with my girlfriend, the receptionist immediately called her colleagues for help. Four staff members were swimming and diving for it just five minutes later, even though I told them it was my fault and they didn't need to spend time looking. They searched for two hours without finding it, then said they'd try again the next day with equipment. That night, the resort manager, who was also the handsome bartender at the Mexican Restaurant, brought us a special Thai dessert to lift my spirits. At 6am the next morning, a woman knocked on my door while I was still asleep and handed me my phone. It was still wet, but it worked. They had gone back out early to look for it again in the Kwait river, and that really touched my heart. The view and food were amazing too, but the service gave me a whole new sense of what hospitality can be.

Waking to the monks chanting at 6:00a.m. added a lot to the feeling of rural Thai for me. We stayed in a River float Bubble overnight, which was an experience on its own. It's a modest, cute setup with a Jacuzzi, bathroom, and table. The food includes BFk and a hotpot dinner with pork and chicken, and the on-site restaurant is alright. There's a cooler for sleeping, so the bubble might not feel cool enough in summer. The property also gives you a basic room on land in case you can't sleep in the bubble once the sun rises. Anyone prone to motion sickness might not enjoy the experience.

We stayed one night in the floating bubble house and loved it. It was a typically sunny, extremely hot day in Thailand, and the AC struggled, though things were much better at night. The staff were really helpful and friendly. We visited in the 1st week of June.
