The Trsyt River Kwai

We stayed in the River Terrace room, one of 10 different designs on land and over the river. At 55 sq.m., it had lots of space, a comfy king-sized bed with four soft pillows, and a Fender speaker for music. The balcony plunge pool was the best part, perfect for soaking while watching the river go by. There was also a desk and a mini-bar stocked with tea, coffee, and snacks. The resort sits by the peaceful Kwai Noi River in Sai Yok, Kanchanaburi, and its modern design makes it a relaxing break from the city. The grounds are lovely for photos, with a riverside bridge, green lawns, a playground, and adorable Sulcata tortoises. In the evening, we roasted marshmallows by the bonfire. For dinner, the Thai BBQ (Moo-Krata) set is a great choice. Grilling pork by the river in the cool evening breeze was a treat. We also liked the Crispy German Pork Huckle, Fried Pork with Fish Sauce, and spicy Glass Noodle Salad. Portions are generous and the food tastes authentic. Breakfast can be brought to your balcony, with options like Thai-style boiled rice (Khao Tom), Garlic Fried Rice, or American Breakfast, plus orange juice, fruit, and toast. It's a peaceful, private place for couples, families, or friends. Every corner is "Instagrammable," and the new M81 Motorway makes it easy to take the Kanchanaburi exit and drive to Sai Yok.
