The beach view is absolutely amazing, and the remote, peaceful setting was exactly what we wanted. There’s not much around, which suited us. The rooms are spacious, the bed is very comfortable, and the food at breakfast and dinner is great. Staff are friendly, even with the language barrier. The hotel could use a refresh, and the pool needs a deep clean, but neither affected the quality of our stay. It has more of a large guesthouse feel than a fancy five-star hotel.

The scenery is the best part. There’s lots of nature, sightseeing, and caves to explore. The water is calm and clear, with no garbage, though the sand is muddy. The rooms are worn and old, but the AC works great, and at this point the view matters more. Sunrise here is superb. You get a bit of sunset too, and somehow the whole place still feels like paradise. Also, the dogs are really cute and friendly 🤍

The beach and sea feel almost private, since there are only about three small resorts along the whole stretch. The water is calm and clear enough to see your feet even when it’s chest high, and the beach is much cleaner than more accessible spots like Hua-Hin or Pattaya. There’s an island view ahead and mountains behind, with nature all around. It’s a peaceful place for a beach break if you want to avoid the usual crowds. Getting there means taking an unpaved road through a pretty secluded area. The property itself is old, though well maintained. The main building has three floors and no elevator. Staff are friendly and keen to help, whether with questions, room service, or luggage. For a family of five or six, the third floor can be booked as a whole, with only three rooms up there: one Seaview honeymoon suite and two regular Seaview rooms. 11/10, I’d come again if I get the chance.

The infinity pool is a highlight, deep and about 15 meters long, with a lovely view of the beach. The nearby beach is clean, at least right around the hotel, and low tide makes for a nice walk. At high tide, around 10 a.m., the water near the hotel is shallow, so you may need to walk farther out for more depth. It’s safe and pleasant for a swim in the shallows. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help. I’m sure they’d try to sort out any equipment issue too. The food was delicious, with reasonable prices, and I recommend eating there. Staying felt a bit like having a private villa. The hotel is small, so if it isn’t full it can be quiet, which may feel like having a retreat to yourself. The place has an older charm but is well maintained. My room and the infinity pool bar felt close to five-star standards, though a few minor things kept it at its three or four stars. The terrace floor and some room equipment looked dated, but everything worked. The AC and bedding in my room were new. My only issue was that there wasn’t enough hot water to fill the jacuzzi, so it wasn’t really usable. I saw staff actively repairing the terrace floor. Maintenance seemed more in line with Thailand than Germany. If you’re driving, the gravel road is manageable at a slow pace, in decent condition, and has few potholes. There’s good parking, plus a garage when it’s free. The drive may not suit an inexperienced driver, but the location is close to many hiking spots and makes a good base for exploring. Nearby options include Nikhon cave, Beng Bua riverside and boardwalk, and a boat tour in the wetlands.
