Follow the signs from the hosts, since Google Maps currently sends you across fields where there’s no road. The place itself is beautiful and well worth visiting. The accommodation is basic but spotless. I’d highly recommend the morning boat tour, which costs 200 THB per person, plus a 500 THB park tax for the boat service.

I found this place while looking up boat tours in the area. We didn’t stay overnight, but the hosts were so friendly and welcoming that I’d still recommend their motor-free boat trips. You get to take in the views and listen to nature along the way.

The engine-free boat trip was wonderfully quiet, and on the first night I really enjoyed the calm and the sounds of nature. It’s a beautiful, peaceful setting. But I came from busy Bangkok hoping for some quiet, and the host’s guests were drinking and talking loudly in the dining area at night, which completely spoiled that for me. The host was smoking there too, while I had walked away from the area to smoke out of respect for everyone else. That felt disappointing and quite disrespectful to the other guests.

We went out on the boat with the family to find vegetables for dinner, with an unreal view all around us. It was my favourite experience in Thailand. I can’t wait to come back.
