The area is quiet and pleasant, with caves, an elephant safari, and lotus wetlands nearby. We rented kayaks from Dolphin, bikes from just around the corner, and used taxis with the lovely Angel. On Saturdays there’s a small night market at the beach with local music. The room was basic but comfortable, though I wasn’t sure about the shower’s cleanliness. It may just have been the concrete finish, but it didn’t look very appealing. The bigger issue was the stay itself: there’s no reception or staff on site to welcome guests or answer questions, and communication by text wasn’t always helpful. When we asked about train information, we got no timetables, just offers of transfers that cost more than local taxis or Bolt, so we used those instead. “Resort” felt misleading to me. There’s no restaurant, pool, organized activities, or other facilities you’d normally associate with a resort. It’s five bedrooms off a side road, so guesthouse would be more accurate.

The peaceful seaside setting was a real highlight, with lovely views and long walks along the beach. Local grocery shops and charming cafes are close by, so it never felt isolated. Michelle also gave me excellent tips for local places to eat. What made my stay at Namaste Resort especially memorable was the personal care from Michelle and Poon. They checked in often, helped with even small issues, and took the stress out of arranging excursions. They also brought travellers together, which turned my solo trip into a chance to make real friends. Poon’s fresh breakfast each day was another highlight, a delicious and healthy start to the morning. I still treasure our conversations and the care they showed me. If you’re looking for warmth and a personal touch, Namaste Resort is a wonderful choice. Thank you. I can’t recommend the place or these lovely hosts enough.

Michel and Poon were lovely, attentive hosts during our few days at Namaste Resort with our two teenagers. Poon’s breakfasts were a great start to each day. Michel set up WhatsApp while we were there so we could ask questions and get restaurant tips, and he arranged trips to Phraya Nakon Cave and Bueng Bua Sea of Lotus, as well as any transport we needed. The resort is just moments from a beautiful, long stretch of beach. We’d recommend it to anyone visiting Sam Roi Yot.

The private garden terrace was a lovely extra, and we appreciated being able to take the beach chairs across the road to the shore. There are plenty of local restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance. Poon and Michel, who run Namaste, speak several languages and are always ready with activity arrangements, transport, or recommendations. Their care and local knowledge made the stay feel all-inclusive in the best way. Daily room cleaning was thorough, flexible, and respectful. It really felt like coming home and being looked after. I value the basics when I travel: a good bed, a clean bathroom, and reliable air-conditioning. Namaste delivered those and had a genuinely homey feel. I’m much taller than average for a European and usually struggle to find a bed that fits. This may have been the best hotel bed I’ve slept in. The room and bathroom are on the small side, with an inside sitting area, but the space was laid out well for what I needed. During my five-day stay I never felt like I was living out of a suitcase, though my size did sometimes mean negotiating around the furniture. Namaste may officially be a three-star resort, but it felt like a five-star stay to me.

The bungalow at Namaste Resort is thoughtfully designed and decorated with care, which gives it a warm, peaceful feel. Michelle and Pun are such a friendly, welcoming couple that I felt at home straight away. Pun is a great cook too, everything was fresh, lovingly made, and delicious. For me, it was a dream stay, a clear 10 out of 10. I’ll definitely be back!
