Dhammachart Riverview Resort

I liked the pleasant garden, though there were more lights left on at night than seemed necessary, which felt wasteful. The owners and staff were kind and spoke well. I stayed on a Tuesday when the resort was nearly empty, and bungalow number 5 cost 850 baht without breakfast. Dinner was good and cost 120 baht. The room was good in every detail, and that felt like a good deal. I imagine weekend prices could be higher, and groups might make things noisy. The river view was decent, especially around sunset. In the morning, the river had a lot of plastic and other floating rubbish, probably because of the very high tide.

You'll need your own transport here, since it's a bit far from Amphawa and there aren't any shops within walking distance. The resort itself is lovely, right beside the river, with reasonably sized rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast and other meals are served by the water, and the prices are affordable.

Even though I checked in late, the employee was still kind and gave us really good service. The place itself was great too. I love it here, everything was still goodz.

I paid Agoda in full for my booking, then the resort messaged me through Agoda asking me to download an app called "Yo!". I didn't do that, since I didn't see why I should. Two days later Agoda support called to say the resort had cancelled my booking, without telling me why. I've since read other Google Maps reviews that seem to describe this happening repeatedly, so be careful. Agoda handled things professionally, apologized several times, and said they'd tried to sort it out directly with the hotel. They refunded everything and added some Agoda Cash for the trouble. One star for Nanthachart Riverview, and five for Agoda customer service.
