Chansuda Lake View Hotel

It was a very quiet place to stay, set in pleasant grounds by a small lake. The bus station is about a 20 minute walk south, and there’s a 7/11, a few restaurants, and a night food market nearby. I stayed one night before heading back to Bangkok, and would visit again. The staff were friendly. My room was a good size with plenty of storage and a large fridge/freezer. The decor was a little dated, but the bed was very comfortable. There was a small balcony with space to wash and dry clothes, and the shower was okay. Coffee is available on the terrace outside, though there’s no kettle in the room. There’s no lift, but the hotel has only three levels.

We were pleasantly surprised by the room. We stayed in 207, and it was clean and well cared for, including the bathroom. For what we paid, the facilities were better than expected, especially the water system. It's easy to get to the bus terminal and not far from the main road. We liked the value and would come back when we're in the area.

On my first stay, the air conditioner was so loud that I couldn't sleep all night. I came back anyway and asked for another room, thinking the first one had just been bad luck. The next room was noisy too, and so was the one after that. I was told every room has a very noisy air conditioner. I told the owner I wouldn't stay, but she refused to refund any of the 500 baht. There are much better hotels nearby, and I personally wouldn't recommend this one.

We had a great time here and would definitely return. It was our first visit to Ubon Ratchathani, and a friend from the area brought us to the hotel. From arrival on, we were happy with the choice. The hotel and lake were beautiful and peaceful, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with a very comfortable bed. For the reasonable price, it also came with complimentary coffee, tea, and snacks for breakfast the next day. The location is convenient, close to the bus station. We enjoyed every minute and strongly recommend it.
