Faasai Resort & Spa

The location among the trees was beautiful, and my girlfriend liked the breakfast. The room itself was good, but the shower and water pressure weren’t great. The lamp connectors looked like a DIY electrical job, and the boardwalk stairs by our room seemed close to breaking. There were lots of dead leaves in the driveway and parking area. I’d have rated it five stars if the price better matched what you get.

We had a lot of fun at our art retreat, and it made for a fantastic holiday. The garden is full of trees and inspiring little spots for sketching or photos, while the villas have roomy balconies where we could get together for social time or learning sessions. The Thai-style chalets come in different designs and sizes to suit different budgets and needs. There’s also a pool for cooling off, and the beach is an easy walk away for the guys in our group to swim and have a beer. The family who run the place are lovely and really want to help. We ate at the restaurant, where the meals were delicious, with fresh fruit and a mix of Thai and European food.

The resort sits in lush greenery, with many of the trees planted by the owners years ago. The cabins are air conditioned and well maintained, the pool is there for a swim, and the beach is less than a kilometer away, with vendors selling authentic Thai food. There are plenty of tours, and they also offer amazing Thai massage. Drinking water is supplied from a well on the Faasai property and is safe. My wife and I were invited to Faasai resort and Spa, about 220 km southeast of Bangkok, and had such a treat. The people were lovely, the service wonderful, and the Thai meals delicious. The staff became friends. It was the best getaway, hands down. For a peaceful, uplifting experience, I recommend seeing what Faasai resort offers. Paul and Michele Dyson, New Zealand.

The garden is well kept, the pool is clean and inviting, and the location is good, about 300 meters from the beach. The staff are friendly and polite. The room was okay but a bit small. In room 13, the air conditioning couldn’t be adjusted and got really loud, and there was no fan. The bedside lamp wouldn’t switch off, so I had to unplug it. The shower is cramped in with the toilet, so water splashes onto it. Bring mosquito repellent.
