At 1,200 baht, this felt far too expensive for such a poor room. Even half that price would seem high to me. There’s no refrigerator or kettle, and really nothing in the room besides a bed. It smelled bad, and the mattress was very hard. WiFi is free in the lobby, but there’s none in the room. The beach is 1.5 km away. Breakfast was one instant coffee with sugar already in it, plus a small bowl of rice soup with a few bits of chicken. The shower did have warm water, luckily, but almost no pressure.

I didn’t think the room was worth the price. It was dirty and had insects, and the air conditioning was very noisy. The insulation was poor too, so sleeping through the night was really difficult.
